ITA Overview
What is the ITA?
The Indonesia Technology Alliance (ITA) is a neutral national operating system for innovation.
The ITA is a non-profit coalition of companies, institutions, and individuals dedicated to resolving the fragmentation within Indonesia's technology ecosystem. We function as a national coordination and partnership platform designed to aggregate fragmented resources, align multi-stakeholder agendas, and establish a shared foundation for sustainable technological growth.
Our core role is to reinforce institutional strength by facilitating alignment and executing programs across the entire innovation lifecycle. This includes enabling shared access to partner resources, shaping evidence-backed policy, developing talent through skilling initiatives, and driving public engagement via community outreach. By providing these essential resources and frameworks, we ensure that technological capability is transferred directly to Indonesian talent and organizations.
Our Mission
Pillars of Action:
Strengthen Institutions: Build resilient domestic capacity, governance frameworks defined by complete operational and financial visibility, and promote the creation of responsible standards. This commitment extends to full public disclosure of our organizational finances, procedures, and internal decision-making to secure maximum accountability and trust.
Shape Regulation: Provide neutral, fully auditable, evidence-based guidance to policymakers for safer, more effective, and globally competitive policies.
Develop Talent: Create world-class local talent through coordinated skilling, professional certification pathways, and continuous education.
Enable Partnerships: Facilitate shared access to critical infrastructure and channel resources to maximize collective, long-term impact.
Why We Exist
Orchestration. Indonesia’s innovation ecosystem is currently fragmented. Talent is scattered, data is siloed, and organizations often duplicate costly efforts in isolation. The ITA exists to unify this landscape.
By aggregating data, standardizing tools, and aligning incentives, we allow government, industry, academia and the public to build on top of a shared foundation rather than reinventing the wheel. Without a unifying platform, Indonesia spends more, moves slower, and captures less value.
The Stakeholders We Serve
The ITA operates at the core intersection of the four major pillars of the Indonesian innovation ecosystem. We are the neutral party responsible for aligning priorities and ensuring shared access to resources and data across these domains.

How We Build Capability
We do not just advocate; we build the digital and physical infrastructure required to align the nation. Our work is powered by three core capabilities:
Intelligence
We are data obsessed. A core function of the ITA is to aggregate and refine data to improve public and private decision-making, moving the ecosystem from intuition-based to evidence-based action, making non-confidential inputs and methodologies publicly accessible.
Consensus
To solve fragmentation, we use technology to bridge human disagreement. We developed "The Circle," a human-AI decision-making system that surfaces every step of the decision pathway, ensuring conclusions are clear, understandable, and auditable by all stakeholders.
Infrastructure
We act as a gateway to critical digital and physical resources by pooling partner capabilities. The governance, allocation, and maintenance rules for this infrastructure are published openly to ensure complete neutrality and fairness.
Focus Areas
We apply our Intelligence, Consensus, and Infrastructure across four key areas to drive tangible national progress:
1
Policy
Using data and Circle consensus to provide neutral, evidence-backed guidance to policymakers, shaping safer, more effective regulation.
2
Skilling
Delivering partner-led upskilling, workshops, and scholarships to identify emerging talent and build professional certification pathways.
3
Outreach
The public face of the ITA. This includes hackathons, builder challenges, and exhibits in our Space to spark curiosity and connect the grassroots community.
4
Enablement
Connecting resources to capability. This involves routing partner funding to non-profits and connecting academic research directly with industry needs.
Operating Model
Partnership is our default. We ensure efficiency and neutrality by operating through partnership, minimizing organizational overlap. Our work is organized into three distinct modes depending on the needs of the initiative:
Lead: We take the lead when neutrality or public trust is essential (e.g., publishing open data, building consensus via "The Circle," or managing scholarships).
Co-Deliver: We partner with experts to combine our platform with their specialized knowledge (e.g., joint workshops, university programs, industry training).
Enable: We connect resources to amplify impact (e.g., routing partner funding to non-profits, or linking academic research with industry needs).
Long-Term Vision
We seek to mature into a systemic operating system for Indonesian technological innovation. This objective reflects the belief that true success is measured by enduring impact, not prominence.
Our singular strategic objective is to transfer capability directly to the institutions and talent within Indonesia. Ultimately, we envision an Indonesia where world-class talent is created and new industries grow locally, ensuring confident, competitive innovation becomes the nation's natural state.
